Details of the Treatment:

The double chin had been there through years of stable weight and exercise. She wanted a non-surgical option — liposuction was off the table for recovery.

On assessment, the under-chin region showed bilateral submental fat with mild associated softness in the underlying neck contour. The skin elasticity was preserved with no significant laxity. The chin position was within anatomic range. The pattern reflected genetic fat distribution rather than weight-related accumulation. Kybella suited this presentation because the elasticity supported a clean retraction once the fat was treated.

Kybella was placed under the chin to address the submental fullness directly. Mild swelling is expected after each visit and resolves on its own. In the after image, the under-chin fullness has substantially reduced, the contour reads as defined, and the jawline-to-neck transition is sharper. Treated fat in this region does not return as long as the patient's weight stays stable. Durability sits with the biology, not with the treatment count.

Individual results vary. The outcome shown reflects this patient's specific anatomy, health history, and treatment plan. Results shown are not guaranteed and are not necessarily typical. Photos used with patient consent.
